HI-POD "Shook up" WEVA 2004
Las Vegas , NV, August 19th, 2004

As VP of Sony marketing , Bob Ott, formally opened the ceremonies, HI-POD hovered above the thousands of WEVA attendees as they ate, drank, and danced the night away.  HI-POD attended WEVA-GANZA 2004 as an exhibitor, but gladly accepted the opportunity to document the evening's events for WEVA. . HI-POD  President Enrique Morales videotaped the revelers with a Sony PD-170 on top of the HI-POD x1-P .  He later demonstrated the versatility of the HI-POD by putting a Sony 5 mega-pixel DSC-F717 digital still camera on top of the HI-POD. Both techniques resulted in impossible to get shots.

When Elvis showed up to perform a few numbers, the HI-POD upstaged the King by unveiling the BOOM HARNESS. This long awaited HI-POD accessory made it possible to obtain Music Video-like shots that were fit for a king.  

The HI-POD attracted so much attention that at times the dance floor would stop and crowd around "the Xtreme Camera Monopod."

"At times there were as many as 40-50 people huddled around me & the HI-POD," said Mr. Morales. “I was so concerned that the HI-POD was attracting all this attention, that I literally would move to the other side of the room.  The amazing thing is that the group would follow me!"

HI-POD also used this opportunity to develop closer ties with each of the WEVA Association chapters. Special relationships were created to introduce HI-PODs to each of the chapters.
